Madrid: Where Science Meets Well-Being
Year after year, Madrid becomes the chosen venue to host a wide variety of conferences and congresses across different sectors.
As part of one of the year’s most prominent international oncology congresses, held at IFEMA Madrid, ExecuTrips Madrid had the opportunity to plan a travel itinerary for a group of medical professionals attending the event.
Our challenge on this occasion was to balance the travelers' personal agenda with a series of leisure activities focused on health and well-being, both physical and mental. Inspired by our philosophy of offering experiences that go beyond the professional, we designed a 5-day travel itinerary in Madrid, and here are some of the highlights.
Arrival in Madrid
The Eurostars Madrid Tower, located in the city’s financial district, offers panoramic views of the capital that impress from the very first moment. Additionally, its privileged location, close to the IFEMA convention center, makes it the ideal choice for professionals seeking quality and comfort during their stay.
At dusk, travelers are welcomed with a cocktail that marks the beginning of their experience in the city. The event takes place in the gardens of the Palacio de Linares, a 19th-century architectural gem, whose imposing design and historical atmosphere provide an unforgettable setting. Under the stars and surrounded by the elegance of this iconic building, guests enjoy an exquisite tasting of traditional Spanish tapas, reinterpreted with a contemporary twist.áneo.
Team Building with a Focus on Well-Being
After the first day of the conference, the group enjoyed a private yoga and mindfulness session on the hotel’s rooftop, with stunning views of the city. Led by a professional coach, the participants had the opportunity to disconnect, learning relaxation, breathing, and meditation techniques, which could be followed by a spa session at the hotel itself.
A perfect example of how healthy eating can go hand in hand with high-quality culinary experiences is the activity we organized for this itinerary. The goal was to create a gourmet culinary experience that was also educational, bringing together health, physical well-being, and nutrition through the Mediterranean diet.
In a space specially prepared for the occasion, participants took part in a workshop led by a nutrition specialist and chef, whose focus is on sustainability, resourcefulness, and healthy eating, with an emphasis on seasonal and local products.
During the session, attendees not only enjoyed a menu made with fresh market ingredients, but also learned cooking techniques that promote food utilization and waste reduction.
WAH, the Trending Show in the Capital
With clear minds and renewed energy, the planned activity was to enjoy a special evening at the renowned WAH show. This performance, designed as a fusion of live music, cuisine from five continents, dance, and visual effects, immerses the audience in an exceptional sensory universe.
WAH has received critical acclaim for its originality and the talent of its performers, offering a vibrant experience that captivates all audiences from the very first moment.
As a special touch, our travelers had the opportunity to interact with the artists after the show, participating in a meeting where they discovered personal stories, anecdotes, and the passion behind each performance.
A Day of Outdoor Sports
fter the conference agenda was completed, on the final day of the itinerary in Madrid, we organized a day of leisure and outdoor sports.
The chosen setting was the splendid Club de Campo Villa de Madrid, which offers perfect facilities for practicing sports and outdoor activities in harmony with nature.
For this last stage of the itinerary, our team designed a team-building program, which included outdoor activities such as walking and biking routes, as well as team games and activities aimed at fostering collaboration and strengthening the connection within the group.
